Data Center Site Clearing

We clear land for data center projects across South Carolina — building pads, power and fiber routes, laydown yards, and access roads. One contractor for the whole clearing job, on the schedule your project needs.

Why GCs Hire Us

Clearing That Keeps Your Schedule on Track

Data center projects run on tight schedules, and clearing is the first job on the site — if it runs late, everything behind it runs late too. We tell you when we will start and how many acres we will clear each day, and then we hit those numbers.

We clear by mulching: brush and trees get ground up right where they stand. That means no burning, no smoke drifting toward the neighbors, and no weeks of debris trucks on county roads. The mulch also keeps the soil covered, which helps with erosion control from the first day. Where the plans call for bare dirt — building pads or utility trenches — we bring in our grading partners so the dirt work starts clean.

Who We Work With

Who Calls Us for This Work

General Contractors & CMs

We show up when we say we will, keep pace with your schedule, and handle the paperwork — insurance certificates, safety orientation, whatever the job requires.

Data Center Developers

Looking at a piece of land? We will walk it with you and tell you what clearing will cost per acre before you commit, so there are no surprises later.

Grading & Sitework Contractors

We hand off clean ground: vegetation mulched down, pads and trench lines grubbed where you need bare dirt, and nothing left in your way.

Owners & Operators

After the site is built, we keep it maintained — buffers, fence lines, and future expansion areas — on a simple recurring schedule.

How It Works

From Raw Land to Ready for Grading

01

Walk the Site

We walk the property with you or your estimator, look at how thick the vegetation is, where the wet spots are, and how machines will get in — then give you a real price per acre.

02

Agree on a Plan

The plan goes in writing: which areas get cleared first, where the roads and laydown yards go, and the dates we will hit. All of it built around your grading and construction schedule.

03

Clear the Land

Each machine clears one to three acres a day depending on how thick it is. On big sites we run several machines at once. Everything gets ground up in place — nothing to burn or haul away.

04

Roads, Yards & Perimeter

Construction entrances, haul roads, laydown yards, parking areas, and the full property line — cut clean and ready for rock and fencing.

05

Power, Fiber & Water Routes

We clear the paths for the power lines, substation, fiber, and water and sewer lines, following each utility company’s rules for access and clearance.

06

Buffers & Upkeep

The tree buffers the county requires stay standing and get shaped, not flattened. Once the site is running, we can come back on a schedule to keep everything maintained.

The Whole Job

Everything We Clear on a Data Center Site

Building Pads & Yards

The main building pads, generator yards, and equipment areas — cleared fast, on the dates we agreed to.

Phased Clearing

On multi-building sites we clear in stages, so grading can start in one area while we keep working on the next.

Roads & Laydown Yards

Construction entrances, haul roads, laydown yards, and worker parking — the space every big job needs and nobody budgets enough of.

Substation & Switchyard Sites

The on-site power areas, cleared and coordinated with the utility company’s schedule.

Power & Fiber Routes

The corridors for transmission lines and fiber — the connections that make it a data center.

Water & Sewer Lines

Utility easements and pipe routes cleared to the drawings and kept open through construction.

Security Fence Line

The full property line cleared clean, so the fence crew can go straight to work.

Erosion Control

The mulch we leave behind covers the soil right away, which makes stormwater compliance easier on a big open site.

Buffers & Ongoing Upkeep

Required tree buffers protected during the work, then maintained on a schedule after the site is running.

South Carolina Is Winning These Projects

Data Center Land Clearing Across South Carolina

Data center projects are coming to South Carolina fast — the state has the power, the land, and the water. From Berkeley County to the I-77 corridor and the Charlotte border, these projects are landing on exactly the kind of land we clear every week: pine stands, old farm fields, and mixed woods, often hundreds of acres at a time.

We give you a per-acre price you can put in your bid, clear on a schedule that matches your grading plan, and run the same fleet that handles our commercial clearing, solar farm, and right-of-way work across the state.

Send us the drawings, a map, or just the parcel number — call 803-353-1093 or use the quote form. We will walk the site and come back with a real price and a schedule, anywhere in South Carolina.

Questions

Data Center Clearing FAQs

Each machine clears one to three acres a day depending on how thick the vegetation is. For big sites we bring several machines and agree on the daily rate before we start.

Yes — most of our commercial work is under a GC. Subcontract agreements, insurance certificates, safety orientations, and daily reports are all normal for us.

Burning means permits, smoke, and upset neighbors. Hauling means weeks of truck traffic. Mulching grinds everything up right where it stands, and the ground cover it leaves helps with erosion control. Where the plans need bare dirt, we grub those areas separately with our grading partners.

Yes. We will walk the property during the bid and give you a per-acre clearing number you can carry in your estimate.

That is part of the same job. We clear the corridors for power, fiber, and water, and follow each utility company’s access and clearance rules.
